Carl graduated with distinction from Mississippi State University and received his MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. He founded Carl Hicks Associates (now The Growth Group) while serving as the Associate Dean of the School of Business at Indiana State University and as Chairman of the Managerial Consultation Division of the Academy of Management.
