Progress Not Perfection

Progress Not Perfection

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.”

- Benjamin Franklin

Life-long learning is required to successfully travel on a Greatness Journey.  At various stages of our journey we may need to gain more insight, enhance our skill sets, or adjust our mindset to overcome obstacles.

Sometimes in our quest for success, however, a tendency toward perfection may creep in. This tendency can be an obstacle.

Striving for perfection can result in an overriding need to control people and situations.  This tendency can lead to anger and frustration when expectations aren't met.

People who strive to be perfect rarely experience a sense of fulfillment or contentment.  Progress, not perfection, is the key to successfully traveling along our Greatness Journey.

Finding a balance between what you are doing and how you go about doing it is key.

Are you making progress . . . or seeking perfection?
