The Purpose of Passion

The Purpose of Passion

It is your passion that empowers you to be able to do that thing you were created to do.”

- T. D. Jakes

The drowning person struggles to stay afloat, struggles for air.  During those moments, all other thoughts and concerns are irrelevant.  The drowning person is passionate about one thing: surviving the ordeal.

Every day we can encounter distractions, distractions that take our focus off of our most important tasks of the day.  Sure, we can make our "to do" list.  Sure, we can write our goals on our “vision board.”  Sure, we can list our reasons why on our “Magic Cards.”

But what’s missing?

Passion!

It is the passion to live that propels the drowning person to tread water.  It is the passion to live that propels the drowning person to gasp for as much air as possible.

If we lack the passion to go somewhere, be someone, do something important, achieve a critical objective, to live the life we were meant to live, then we lack the fuel needed to fulfill our purpose

If there is no passion to live, the result is a lost life.

Do you have the passion?
